Caspian hydrocarbon reserves to double by 2035

BAKU. KAZINFORM "The Caspian region will turn into a reliable gas supplier to Europe against growing energy consumption," Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev said today at the I International Caspian Energy Forum 2014.
According to him, the Caspian region alike Europe has a potent power potential with respectively small consumption level. Adding reserves of the region make 3,5%-4%, proven reserves of gas make 7-11% of the world reserves. "With a glance to recovery of new fields the hydrocarbon reserves of the Caspian region are forecast to double by 2035," he added.
