Capsule-laying ceremony of 1,000-place sports complex held in Kokshetau
A capsule-laying ceremony to launch the construction of a multifunctional sports complex took place in Kokshetau city ahead of the Republic Day, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Today, we’re witnessing an important event for our region. Under the instruction of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to make sure the population has access to sports facilities, we launch the construction of a multifunctional sports complex in the region’s administration center, said governor of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov.

Once built, a 2-storey building of the modern sports complex with a ground floor will house functional rooms such as a universal culture and entertainment room with telescopic grandstands, a universal sports hall, a table tennis room, a conference hall for 80 seats, a wrestling room, a room with rings, a dining room and technical rooms. The total area of the sports complex will be 11.5 thousand sq.k.
The construction of the sports complex is to be completed by the end of 2025.

A number of social facilities are set to be opened on the occasion of the Republic Day in the region.
