As a rule, the ferry carries vacationers to the sandy beaches of the Hasan district in summer time. This territory is also known as an area of habitation of the remaining species of the far eastern leopard whose hunting grounds are often located side by side with tourist camps. The leopard symbol on the ferry should remind passengers of the need to protect these animals, a representative of the Phoenix ecological foundation told Itar-Tass. The far eastern leopard is one of the most rare wild cats in the world, Kazinform cites Ita-Tass. See www.itar-tass.com for full version.
