Cabinet to discuss new program of education development June 10

ASTANA. June 2. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ On June 10 the Government of Kazakhstan will discuss a new program of educational development, Kazinform has learnt from Prime Minister Karim Massimov who has said it at the meeting with the delegates of the XXII Congress of the Federation of Trade Unions today. The Congress is to kick off tomorrow in Astana.
"As you know, on the President's instruction we are elaborating a new program of development of education. The draft program will be discussed on June 10. I charge the Ministry of Education ands Science to prepare its recommendations and propositions on solution of the problem with salaries and dormitories as well as on increase of government order for master students", the Prime Minister said.
He noted that the future of a nation is determined by the level of education in the country, its competitiveness depends on the quality of personnel training. Therefore the state gives special attention to development of the system of higher professional, vocational-secondary and vocational-technical education.
