"What is meant here is the Light Rail Transport which was to be implemented by means of loaning from international financial organizations. In particular, we consider financing through Asian development bank which after the analysis of economical and social profits made a conclusion that the project was too expensive, so it is economically unprofitable on this stage. For example, expenses for construction of the LRT first line of 21.4 km amount to almost 250 bln KZT, however, for this part of BRT (bus rapid transit with independent bus lanes) only 85 bln KZT will be needed. The difference in prices between these two projects is obvious - 251 bln KZT. That is way it has been decided to implement BRT project completing the first line in 2016", - noted I. Tasmagambetov.

It's worth noting that realization of the whole project of 63 km will allow covering the left bank and the right bank of the city with huge passenger flow. Traffic organization will be significantly improved. Recall that over the past 3 years more than 330 km of roads have been built and repaired in the city.

As part of the Minor transport ring construction 20.5 km of road were constructed, as well as 4 transport junctions, 3 crossovers and 2 bridges. So, in 2013 the passage has been provided on Beisekova st. from Korgaldzhin highway to Seifullin st., inclusing the new bridge over Esil river. Therefore, the transport flow was discharged on Saryarka and Turan avenues by 30 000 cars per day.
