«Burj Dubai» hosts exhibition of Kazakh Artist
The works of the Kazakhstan's artist aroused great interest of local art lovers. Nurlan Bazhirov says that he has brought to the Emirates a small number of his paintings. "In Dubai there have been showed fifteen paintings of mine which were painted within a few years. It is only about ten percent of my collection. Now the residents and visitors can get acquainted with the UAE paintings devoted to the Kazakh national culture. Horses hold the central theme of the works as they are important to the nomadic culture of the Kazakhs. There are also paintings depicting the Kazakh breed of dog "Taz", an episode of National Hunting with birds and battles of the Kazakh warriors'', said Bazhirov.
Opening the ceremony the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates of the UAE Askar Shokybayev noted the importance and significance of the event. According to the Kazakh diplomat the fact that the exhibition is taking place in a prestigious building "Burj Dubai" reflects the growing interest of the Arab community in the Kazakh culture. Shokybaev added that the Kazakh Consulate will continue to work on the promotion of the Kazakh culture in the UAE.
The exhibition of the paintings by Nurlan Bazhirov has become the first project of "Pegasus art gallery".
Nurlan Bazhirov is well known artist not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad.
