Bundestag deputy: Only one woman elected to Kazakh Senate

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Bundestag deputy Karin Strentz highly appreciated preparation of elections of the deputies to the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
"I would like to note good organizational work carried out by the Kazakh Central Election Commission. The well-organized elections lay the foundation for democratic initiatives and the practice of holding election will be of great use in holding the next one," she added. "The only thing, I would like to mention is that the only woman was elected to the Senate. I hope situation will change in the future. Let me also congratulate the people of Kazakhstan on successful elections," Karin Strentz said.
