In particular, the issue of building a nuclear power plant in our country was considered. Thus, representatives of the party 'Rukhaniyat' suggested holding a referendum to discuss problematic issues. "To address this question it is necessary to organize a referendum. The program of building of a nuclear power plant needs to be discussed nationwide," the party chairman Serikzhan Mambetalin said.

According to Director of the Institute of High Technologies of Kazatomprom JSC Serik Kozhakhmetov, building of a nuclear power plant is a question of self-development, not only in the country but also in the whole industry worldwide. "In general, the nuclear industry is performing general technology functions for the entire Central Asian region. One can not ignore the fact that about 15% of the total energy is supplied by the nuclear industry. We can not stand aside from the high-tech society," he noted.
