Budapest hosts 4th regular meeting of the Kazakh-Hungarian Business Council

At the event the Kazakh side was represented by the Co-chairman, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association of Legal Entities "Kazenergy" Dzhambulat Sarsenov and the Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan Sabr Essimbekov, as well as the representatives of a number of the Kazakhstan companies. The Hungarian side was represented by Minister for National Economy Mihaly Varga, the Business Council Co-chairman Sandor Fasimon as well as the heads of more than 50 companies. During the meeting the sides discussed the topical issues of development of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and investment fields, and outlined the most promising areas for cooperation such as the development of high technology and promotion of projects in the fields of oil and gas, agriculture, pharmaceutics, telecommunication, tourism, construction, automobile and processing industries, transport and innovation. Along with this, the Hungarian businessmen were called upon to cooperate more actively with the Kazakh partners, taking advantages of the Republic of Kazakhstan such as a favourable investment and business climate, membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), holding of the International Specialized Exhibition "EXPO-2017" in Astana, as well as the New Economic Policy "Nurly Zhol" ("Bright Path"). The meeting resulted in the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hungary and the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.
