British school 'Haileybury Astana' to be launched in September
The language of instruction will be English, mostly. The education program meets all international standards and includes study of the Kazakh and Russian languages and the history of Kazakhstan. Foreign and local teachers are among the personnel of the school.
The school provides education from 1st to 13th grades. Besides, the school will have preparatory classes for children from 3 to 4 years old. The school has the capacity of 640 students.
"Launching of this school is ensuring the future of intellectual potential of our country, development of science and literacy in Kazakhstan," Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Zhumagulov said it during the presentation of the project in Astana.
According to the members of the board of trustees of the school, the project is realized on the private funds. The cost of the project is USD 50 million. The school provides paid education. Though, it will provide grants for gifted children.
