BRIC leaders in favor of energy dialogue

YEKATERINBURG. June 17. KAZINFORM. The leaders of Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC) supported energy dialogue and boosting power sector investment after the first BRIC summit, held in Russia's Urals city of Yekaterinburg on Tuesday; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
"We are for strengthening the coordination and the cooperation of states in the energy sphere, including between producers and consumers of energy and transit states, in the efforts to reduce uncertainty and ensure stability and steadiness," the joint statement said.
"We support the diversification of energy resources and the supply of energy products, including renewable energy, ensuring the security of energy carrier transit routes, establishing a new energy infrastructure and directing new investment into the energy sphere," the statement said.
