Brest to host seminar on customs legislation practice in Customs Union

BREST. KAZINFORM - A seminar on the customs legislation practice in the Customs Union will take place in Brest on 15 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly.

The major objective of the seminar is to study the practice of cooperation between the customs services of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan taking into account the new integration steps. Partaking in the event will be Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the State Border Committee Leonid Maltsev, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Sergei Borisyuk, Brest Oblast Governor Konstantin Sumar, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for International Affairs of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valery Shnyakin, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Belarus Ergaly Bulegenov, Vladimir Goshin, Member of the Board (Minister) for Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Vladimir Goshin.

The MPs will get familiar with the work of the Belarusian customs bodies in the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space, discuss issues related to the cooperation of border and customs services in the customs regulation of the foreign economic activity. Special attention will be on the features of the customs legislation practice, the press service stressed.

The practical part of the seminar will be held at the biggest checkpoints of the Belarusian-Polish border. The MPs will also visit the transport and logistics center Brest-Beltamozhservice. Participants of the plenary meeting in the Brest Oblast Executive Committee will share opinions on the issues of current importance, BelTA reports.
