Book and film on Kazakh justice system presented in Kostanay

KOSTANAY. July 20. KAZINFORM /Petr Plakhotnikov/ Presentation of book 'Kazakh Traditional Legal System' and film titled "Biys of Torgay and Tobol" took place in Kostanay; Kazinform reports.
These two creations were made within the State program Cultural Heritage of Kazakhstan. A large expedition to Torgay region with participation of prominent historical scientists and ethnographers was initiated last year.
According to Chairman of the Regional Court Serikeldy Abdrakhmanov they could collect a historical material on activity of 50 biys (judges).
"We addressed to the Kostanay local authority with proposal to give names of outstanding biys as Nauryzbay, Shegen and Toksan to three nameless streets", - S. Abdrakhmanov said.
