Representatives of the diplomatic corps, analytical circles and Indian leading media took part in the event.

Kazakh Ambassador Kairat Umarov welcomed the presentation of the new book by Indian journalist Dipanjan Roy Chaudhury written after his multiple visits to Kazakhstan and meetings with top officials, experts and journalists within the framework of the annual Eurasian Media Forum.

The book depicting the stages of formation of sovereign Kazakhstan, its geopolitical role in the region, the country's foreign policy priorities and international initiatives meets the interests of the Indian society in our country, particularly following the Kazakh President's visit to India in January 2009.

The Kazakh diplomat noted that the presentation of the book about successful experience in the statehood creation was purposely timed to the Constitution Day since the Fundamental Law played a very important role in ensuring socio-economic and political progress of the sovereign Kazakhstan.

The participants were also acquainted with the foreign policy initiatives of Kazakhstan in the sphere of nonproliferation. Speaking about the forthcoming chairmanship in the OSCE K. Umarov stressed that Kazakhstan was the first country in the CIS and Asian subcontinent to head that powerful European security organization.
