Bologna Process Center and Academic Mobility Center to be established in Kazakhstan

'The state program provides for establishment of the Bologna Process Center and the Center of Academic Mobility. Recently, Kazakhstan's system of converting credits on the basis of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) was developed and by 2015 all the educational institutions of Kazakhstan are planned to introduce,' the Ministry informs.

As the result, the people of Kazakhstan will have an opportunity to study abroad not less than one academic period over the whole academic period including study at the expense of the international scholarship 'Bolashak'.

The work on integration of higher education into the global education is underway within the Education-2020 Program. First of all, the work on development of academic mobility has already started; pm.kz reports.

'The external academic mobility of students and teachers is ensured mostly through exchange programs such as Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus Mundus Partnership and others as well as through memorandums on cooperation on introduction of joint education programs together with the universities of the Great Britain, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Canada, Russia, the USA and others,' the press service informs.

The study of 350 masters during one academic period in the best universities of Europe, South East Asia and CIS countries is planned for this year.
