Bolashak scholarship is a huge investment, but it will pay off in spades: M. Tazhin
Secretary of State Marat Tazhin has said in Astana today opening the session of the Republican Commission on training staff abroad. The commission is responsible for choosing the most talented and promising applicants to be granted the Bolashak scholarship to pursue their Master's and PhD degrees abroad.
"This year marks 20th anniversary of the Bolashak scholarship and it is high time to thoroughly analyze and summarize the experience we've accumulated over two decades given the new tasks that are ahead for Kazakhstan. Bolashak scholars who complete their studies abroad should return home and justify the expectations. As for today's session, it is necessary to explore the potential of each candidate. The selection should be strict and impartial," said M. Tazhin.
Education and pedagogy, transport and transport technologies were the most popular majors among Bolashak applicatnts this year.
In general, 1 093 scholarship were alloted this year.
