Bolashak scholarship - a breakthrough project shaping competitiveness of the nation: Kazakh Secretary of State

ASTANA. November 6. KAZINFORM Secretary of State of Kazakhstan Marat Tazhin chaired a session of the Republican Commission for training staff abroad in the Akorda presidential residence on Wednesday, the Akorda's press service informs.

The Kazakh Secretary of State, who opened the session, congratulated the members of the commission on the 20^th anniversary of the Bolashak International Scholarship and noted that the scholarship scheme established on a personal initiative of President Nazarbayev has become one of the most important 'breakthrough' projects aimed at the formation of highly competitive nation. Today, Bolashakers work in all spheres and make their worthy contribution to the implementation of the "Kazakhstan-2050" Development Strategy.

On Wednesday, the republican commission awarded the scholarship to 66 aspiring Bolashakers who will embark on postgraduate study in Great Britain, the U.S., Australia, Canada, China and Switzerland.

The choice of majors is also impressive: IT and IT Security, Economics, Finance and Audit, Tourism and Sport Management, Translation and Linguistics.
