Blast hits capital of Russia's Chechnya, one injured

GROZNY. July 30. KAZINFORM A blast rocked the center of Grozny, the capital of Russia's volatile North Caucasus republic of Chechnya on Friday, a police spokesperson said. Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
A man was reportedly injured as a result of the blast. According to preliminary data, the bomb exploded near a trade center.
Police have arrived at the site of the blast.
Russia fought two wars against separatists in Chechnya in the 1990s and early 2000s. Sporadic terrorist attacks, shootings and militant clashes are still common in Chechnya and the neighboring republics of Dagestan and Ingushetia. Kazinform cites RIA Novosti. See www.en.rian.ru
