Blast hits cableway on Mount Elbrus, no injuries

NALCHIK. February 19. KAZINFORM A cableway on Mount Elbrus in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria has been hit by an explosion, but no one has been injured, local police said. Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
The blast occurred late on Friday between the Stary Krugozor and Mir stations. Some 30 out of 45 cable cars have been damaged, a source said.
"There are no injuries," the source added.
An eyewitness said a nearby cableway has been closed as experts are conducting searches for explosives in the area. Kazinform cites RIA Novosti. See www.en.rian.ru
