BKS 1st half-marathon Astana 2012 to take place Sept 22

ASTANA. September 5. KAZINFORM BKS 1st half-marathon Astana 2012 organised by the British-Kazakh Society and akimat of Astana will take place at the Central Park in Astana on September 22, 2012.

We are hoping to raise substantial donations for AYALA charity foundations project "Breathe, baby", as well as brining attention of the Kazakhstan public to AYALA admirable work, the British-Kazakh Society said.

We have organised a very successful 7k race in 2009, 10k in 2010 and 20k last year, and hoping to gradually build a full lenghth marathon in Astana, firmly placing the city on the world marathon map.

Apart from the charity cause, the race is aiming at promoting healthy life style and involvement of participants ranging from KZ, UK and multinational companies, embassies based in Astana and ordinary citizens of the capital.
