Bilateral military-technical cooperation between Turkey and Kazakhstan discussed

At the meeting, which took place on December 10, under discussion there were the issues of bilateral cooperation in the military-technical sphere. In particular, the prospects for partnership in a joint Kazakh-Turkish company producing optoelectronic devices.

The President noted the importance of this venture for further development of bilateral collaboration in the defense industry. Nazarbayev also drew attention to the importance of providing the plant with qualified local personnel.

In turn Mr.Yylmaz noted that construction of the plant was the result of progressive bilateral cooperation in the military-technical sphere. In addition, he stressed that there were good prospects in this field and expressed hope for further development of the partnership.
