'Best of India' exhibition opens in Kazakhstan city

NEW DELHI. March 1. KAZINFORM Exclusive Indian products like pashmina shawls, cosmetics and incense are on display at a two-week exhibition in Kazakh city Almaty that aims at strengthening trade and commercial ties between the two countries.

The Embassy of India launched the "Best of India" sale exhibition at the Atakent Exhibition Grounds in Almaty on February 26. It was inaugurated by Indian Ambassador Ashok Sajjanhar.

The exhibition with participation of around 60 companies has displays of exclusive Indian products like wood items, furniture, textiles, readymade apparels, household fabrics, pearls and jewellery, hand embroidered woollen and pashmina shawls, cosmetics, healthcare products and incense, a statement issued by the embassy said.

Large crowds have dared sub-zero temperatures to visit the exhibition.

The exhibition will travel to Pavlodar and Karaganda cities in March.

Indian goods and products have always been extremely popular in Kazakhstan, Kazinform refers to Press Trust of India.
