Best journalists of Kazakhstan awarded in Akorda

ASTANA. June 27. KAZINFORM Kazakh Secretary of State Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed congratulated Kazakh journalists on the professional holiday - Day of Journalism and presented awards, grants and Kazakh President's letters of gratuities to the best Kazakh journalists.

Among the awardees were journalists from "Khabar" channel, "Egemen Kazakhstan" newspaper, "Bnews.kz" news agency, JSC "TV and Radio Complex of the Kazakh President" ,"Express K" and ''Business Kazakhstan" newspapers.

Congratulating the journalists, M. Kul-Muhammed said that this year's awards and grants from the Head of State to the media are given for the sixteenth time.

"Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has created all necessary conditions for free development of the media. Today Kazakhstan has 2514 newspapers and magazines, 238 electronic media, including about 100 TV channels and radio stations. Journalists contribute to the achievements and success of the country, strengthening of piece and accord in our common house. I believe you will continue worthy assistance to all initiatives of the Nation's Leader in the name of prosperity of our native country," Kazakh Secretary of State stressed.
