Belarusian Foreign Minister meets with heads of CIS, OSCE ODIHR observation missions

MINSK. September 25. KAZINFORM Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei met with Sergei Lebedev, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary, head of the CIS mission sent to observe the Belarus parliament elections, the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry told BelTA.

At the meeting the sides discussed results of the voting to elect members of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus. Vladimir Makei thanked Sergei Lebedev and all representatives of the mission for their balanced approach and objective evaluations of the elections. The sides also discussed future cooperation in view of the forthcoming CIS events, BelTA reports.

The same day the Belarusian Foreign Minister met with Antonio Milososki, head of the OSCE ODIHR mission sent to monitor elections to the fifth-convocation House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, and OSCE ODIHR Director Janez Lenarcic. At the meeting the OSCE mission representatives informed Vladimir Makei about preliminary results of the election monitoring efforts, said the Foreign Ministry press service.
