Belarus to select nominees for Eurasian Economic Commission soon

MINSK. January 26. KAZINFORM The Belarusian government will soon announce qualification requirements on its official website for the participation in the nomination for the posts of international officials at the departments of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Belarus Vice Premier Sergei Rumas who was appointed Chairman of the EEC Council told media on 25 January.

According to BelTA, in his words, the EEC Council head is elected on an annual rotation basis. The Belarusian official has become the first Chairman of the EEC Council. In 2013 he will be replaced by a representative of another member state.

According to Sergei Rumas, a number of organizational decisions aimed at early launch of the EEC were adopted at the meeting.

"In particular, the meeting approved the structure of departments. The Board will comprise 23 departments. Qualifying requirements to the personnel of the departments have been approved as well," the Belarusian official said.

Sergei Rumas emphasized that partaking in the work of the departments might be any citizen of the Single Economic Space. Belarus has its share there, too. In the near future the Belarusian government will present qualification requirements on its website for the participation in the nomination for the posts at the departments.
