Belarus to develop CIS concept on consumer protection

Keeping in mind the fact that the Trade Ministry has been vested with the functions of state regulation in the protection of consumer rights and advertising control, one of the main tasks is to reduce the number of cases related to unplanned loss of people's income due to the purchase of low-quality or unsafe goods and services. Belarus has established a legislative framework for the normal functioning of the consumer rights protection society. We need to make sure the legislative requirements should be enforced properly, he said.
According to Sergei Rumas, given the economic integration and increased competition, it is necessary to develop a coherent system of advertising service for advertisers and supply the market with goods and services on the basis of the principles of fair competition and advertising. "It is therefore necessary to create conditions for the production and placement of high-quality and competitive advertising, simplify the administrative procedures for placing outdoor advertising and advertising on transport and make the terms of advertising on the Internet more accessible and understandable," said the Deputy Prime Minister. According to Sergei Rumas, particular attention should be paid to combating unfair competition in the advertising business.
