Belarus to attend CIS ministerial meeting in Ukraine
According to BelTA, the Belarusian delegation will be headed by chief of the main legal department of the Foreign Ministry Andrei Popkov. The meeting will discuss the topical issues of interaction of the legal services of the Foreign Ministries of the CIS member states, including improvement of the mechanism to pass documents by CIS statutory bodies, further expansion of legal cooperation among the CIS countries in various fields.
The advisory committee of chiefs of legal services of the Foreign Ministries of the CIS countries was established in accordance with the decision of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers on 15 September 2004. Members of the advisory committee are directors of the legal services of the Foreign Ministries of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Ukraine. In 2012, Ukraine takes over the chairmanship in the advisory committee.
