Belarus ready to partake in Kazakhstan's industrialization programs

Alexander Lukashenko remarked that the Belarusian and Kazakh nations have been united for more than a decade by tight cooperation and mutual assistance as well as unique ally relations.

Alexander Lukashenko mentioned rapid development of Kazakhstan and its capital city, Astana. "We would like to be part of these grand plans. And we would like Kazakhstan to use everything we accumulated during the Soviet period and what we have managed to support and develop now. We are ready to go to Kazakhstan, to partake in manufacturing cooperation schemes. We are ready to manufacture here everything Kazakhstan needs together. We are extremely interested in working in the Kazakh land," said the Belarusian head of state.

The cooperation relies on complementarity of the economies of the two countries. The Belarusian head of state said that Belarus and Kazakhstan have virtually no competing manufacturers. "Kazakhstan needs everything we make. Belarus uses everything Kazakhstan makes," he said.

The President of Belarus remarked that many Belarusian-Kazakh joint projects worth over $100 million are being implemented. The trade turnover between the two countries is close to $1 billion. "I am confident this is only the beginning and we have normal future in our relations ahead of us. We are ready to join your programs for industrialization of the country," said Alexander Lukashenko, Kazinform refers to BelTA.
