Belarus' R&D institutions to cooperate with Nazarbayev University

MINSK. December 13. KAZINFORM R&D institutions Belarus will establish cooperation with the autonomous educational organization Nazarbayev University, BelTA has learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Ambassador of Belarus to Kazakhstan Anatoly Nichkasov and Rector of Nazarbayev University Shigeo Katsu discussed the issues of cooperation in Astana on 11 December. The parties outlined the steps to work out a program of cooperation between Nazarbayev University and the Belarusian R&D institutions and educational establishments.

Nazarbayev University is a higher educational establishment in Astana set up on the initiative of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev in 2010. The university is expected to become the national brand in education. It combines the advantages of the national education system and the best research and education practices of the world. The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the Chairman of the Supreme Board of Trustees of Nazarbayev University, BelTA reports.
