ASTANA. November 9. KAZINFORM "Ministry of Education of Belarus and Belarusian universities introduced preferential terms of enrolment for students of some CIS countries," First Deputy Minister of Education of Belarus Alexander Zhuk said in interview to Kazinform.

"I must say that cooperation in the field of higher education between the two countries is developing quite dynamically. This year we have introduced preferential conditions for admission of the Kazakh citizens and students from other CIS countries to the Belarusian universities on a fee paid basis. There is no need to sit exams, the applicants are invited to an interview to test their knowledge of the Russian language. We believe that these measures will help attract additional Kazakh students to Belarusian universities," A. Zhuk added.
According to him, in the science and education consortium that involves 17 Belarusian and 13 Kazakh universities not only scientific, but also educational links are being developed.
