Belarus mulls concessional lending in supplies to Kazakhstan, Ukraine
In his words, the Industry Ministry should develop closer cooperation with Sberbank of Russia that provides loans for the purchase of Belarusian engineering products in Russia. In line with the bilateral agreements Belarus compensates a part of interest on loans provided to Russian buyers of Belarusian goods. It creates favorable conditions for advancing Belarusian goods to the Russian market. The operation scheme took effect in 2009 in line with Decree No.466 "Concerning measures of selling goods produced in the Republic of Belarus". Today the country is mulling over these measures for the supplies of its products to Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
In order to boost exports the Industry Ministry should focus on leasing schemes in cooperation with Promagroleasing and insurance of export supplies together with Beleximgarant.
Vladimir Semashko stressed that integration of Belarusian companies with world companies is inevitable, including Russian corporations, especially the ongoing project of the MAZ/KamAZ Holding Company. According to the First Vice Premier, world economic development trends should be taken into account, integration opportunities should be viewed as long-term cooperation prospects.
Companies of the Industry Ministry are expected to implement important innovation projects in the country. Three out of eight projects of the first stage will be implemented by the ministry. They include Integral, BelOMO and Planar holding companies. The projects envisage production of optoelectronic equipment on the basis of thermal-imaging and laser systems as well as the development of nanomaterial s in micro electronics. ,
