"We invite the business communities of Russia and Kazakhstan to participate in privatizing enterprises in Belarus. First of all, I would like to mention the chemical industry because it seems to me that we have limited ourselves to oil processing too much," said the Prime Minister. Mikhail Myasnikovich said that, in particular, projects in large-scale and small-scale chemistry in Belarus may be interesting to potential partners.

The Belarusian head of government encouraged investors to be more active and promote their privatization proposals more effectively. In his words, some of these proposals take years to be made.

Belarus is interested in attracting investments into the pharmaceutical industry, mobile communication development, microelectronics, metallurgy and mechanical engineering. "It is necessary to embrace active integration in the high-tech sphere," said the Prime Minister. The construction of the nuclear station in Belarus with Russia's assistance is one of the most promising projects in this area. "It is a landmark project and many such projects can be mentioned," concluded Mikhail Myasnikovich; Kazinform cites BelTA.
