Belarus interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan in oil processing
"During today's talks we reached new topics of cooperation," said the Belarusian head of state. In particular, cooperation in oil processing looks most promising. "We are extremely interested in it. We are ready to promote these products and goods made of them onto European markets in your interests [Kazakhstan's - BelTA]," said Alexander Lukashenko.
In his words, Belarus is ready to provide most favorable treatment to Kazakh businessmen and companies. "We are ready to create conditions and warehouses for you. The transportation system in Belarus is good," remarked Alexander Lukashenko. "You can count on support from Belarus".
Belarus can also offer several promising avenues of cooperation in petrochemical industry to Kazakhstan. "I am sure you know this topic well and you can count on us in this regard," Alexander Lukashenko told Nursultan Nazarbayev.
In conclusion Alexander Lukashenko stressed that the sides had agreed to keep an eye on the implementation of the agreements they had reached earlier. The Belarusian head of state said: "We should show not just an example but a sample of normal cooperation in this tight integration association where we work together with Kazakhstan and Russia [Customs Union and the Single Economic Space - BelTA]".
In turn, Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev remarked that top-level meetings and discussions about the most topical areas of cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan had become a good tradition. "Belarus is one of the key political and economic partners of Kazakhstan," stressed Nursultan Nazarbayev. In his words, the two countries successfully cooperate in all spheres. In Kazakhstan there are dozens of joint ventures, service centers, trading houses, dealerships of Belarusian companies. The President of Kazakhstan remarked that the Belarusian side is particularly interested in the possibility of taking part in Kazakhstan's accelerated industrial development program. "We invite Belarus to take part in it," said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"The development of the energy dialogue offers great opportunities in view of the readiness to sign a bilateral agreement on oil deliveries to Belarus taking into account international obligations of our countries. We have agreed to expand cooperation within the framework of the industrial complex," said the President of Kazakhstan after the negotiations.
In his words, Kazakhstan is also ready to supply hard food wheat to Belarus.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that Belarus is a very important partner for Kazakhstan, especially within the framework of the Customs Union and the evolving Single Economic Space as well as the Collective Security Treaty Organization and other international organizations.
