Belarus' industrial output growth top in CIS in January-April

MOSCOW. June 7. KAZINFORM In January-April 2011 Belarus' industrial output growth was the top one in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Belarus' industrial output went up 12.9% in comparison with the same period of last year, representatives of the CIS Interstate Statistics Committee told BelTA.

Ukraine came second with 8.5%. It was followed by Armenia (6.4%), Kazakhstan (6.1%), Kyrgyzstan (5.6%), Russia (5.5%) and Tajikistan (3.9%).

In January-April 2011 Azerbaijan's industrial output shrank by 0.9%.

Meanwhile, the industrial output of the CIS states went up 6.2% in comparison with the same period of last year. There is no information about industrial output changes in Moldova, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan in this period; Kazinform has learnt from BelTA.
