The sides discussed terms and prospects of promoting partnership in the bilateral format and in the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space.

The Belarus government attaches great importance to the visit of Kazakhstan Prime Minister Mr Serik Akhmetov to Belarus. The visit is scheduled for late April 2013. During the visit the sides are expected to discuss prospects of bolstering the trade turnover between the countries, joint investment projects, and are expected to sign new documents on cooperation. "In this regard we would like to align views on Mogilevkhimvolokno," remarked Mikhail Myasnikovich. "In my opinion, the decision takes too much time".

During the negotiations with the Ambassador other Belarusian-Kazakh projects were discussed, including the project to set up an industrial and technological park for agricultural and municipal machines in Kazakhstan. Belarus' involvement in the project is expected to bolster the country's position on the Kazakh market while Kazakhstan will be able to attract additional investments and create new jobs, BelTA reports.

The Prime Minister of Belarus drew attention to export development. Belarus has come up with five ways to encourage export and the government is interested in getting them used effectively, including for the export of Belarusian products to Kazakhstan. "We are interested in the participation of Belarusian companies in state programs of Kazakhstan, primarily those in agricultural mechanical engineering," he underlined.
