BEKET BATYR MYRZAGULULY

et Myrzagululy (approximately 1750-1813) was a Kazakh batyr, commander, enlightener, thinker and architect.

From early childhood he searched for knowledge. He received education in Khorezm. He was highly respected by his people for his courage, bravery and justice. He believed that fulfills the instructions from God helping and educating people.

He also developed the construction traditions of earth-sheltered buildings and the art of stone cutting. His monuments are the underground facilities in Mangystau, Ustyurt along Zhem River.

Scientists Eduard Eversman and Alexander Dyugamel who studied Ustyurt in XIX century remained a lot of information received due to the legends about Beket Batyr.

Beket Batyr was buried in Mangystau in his mosque Ogylandy.
