Beijing to host Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation

From October 17 to 18, Beijing will host the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation , according to Hua Chunying, Official Spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Kazinform Agency reports.
Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping is expected to attend the opening ceremony of the forum and deliver a keynote speech. He will also hold a welcome banquet and some bilateral events for the guests of the forum, a statement on the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s official website reads.
The First Belt and Road Forum was held in Beijing in May 2017, the second forum took place in April 2019 in Beijing too.
The initiative unites the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road projects announced in 2013.
