BBC, Discovery to help film documentaries about Kazakhstan

"Internationally renowned TV brands, namely Discovery, BBC, and National Geographic, boast decades of extensive experience in making documentary films. Currently, we are considering participation of the top-ranking TV companies, such as BBC, History, Discovery, Euronews, Arte, and RAI in filming documentaries about Kazakhstan within the framework of Mangilik Yel (Eternal Nation) program," the ministry said. The documentaries are expected to be made in next couple of years. Kazakhfilm film studio based in Almaty produces up to 20-25 documentaries each year. These are mostly about Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev and his role in the development of modern Kazakhstan, outstanding public figures, athletes, and statesmen, cultural heritage of Kazakhstan and so on. The Mangilik Yel program was developed on the instruction of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
