«Barys» wins over «Avangard» from Omsk
In the away match the Kazakh hockey players managed to break the resistance of the hosts with a minimum difference in the score - 5:4.
As reported on the official website of HC "Barys" in the beginning of the first period "Avangard" has organized several attacks. The first puck was delivered to the opponents' gates by Brandon Bochenski - 0:1 with the help of Nigel Daws.
For the first time ever four buses with fans arrived in Omsk to support out athletes despite -35, -39 C° degrees below zero.
Second 20-minute period occurred more active and, as a consequence, effective. "Avangard'' equalized the score level. But Nigel Dawes actively struggled for the puck in the zone of the opponent and gave it to Brandon Bochenski who delivered the second puck to the gates - 1:2.
Luck helped the Omsk team to equalize the numbers on the scoreboard again. Nigel Daws became the author of the third goal. In the middle third the hosts equalized the score and the play went into overtime - 4:4.
The fifth match-winning goal was made by Konstantin Rudenko - 4:5.
The next play the Kazakh hockey club will play in Astana on 28 January with the Khanty-Mansiysk hockey club "Yugra".
