SEOUL. March 26. KAZINFORM "20 years ago Kazakhstan took a decision to get rid of nuclear weapons that led to economic growth and the country's prosperity," US President Barack Obama told today during the bilateral meeting with President Nursultan Nazarbayev at the Hyatt Seoul Hotel.
"I am glad to see and have talks with President Nursultan Nazarbayev here. I would like to thank him for his leading role he played and will play at the summit. I would like to thank him for the leading role in nuclear disarmament," the US President said.
"The summit will give an opportunity to debate many issues, in particular, Kazakhstan's activity regarding highly enriched uranium, plutonium and also support to create an international nuclear fuel bank in Kazakhstan which will reduce the need for other countries to independently enrich nuclear materials," Obama said.
