Baku to host Kazakh-Azerbaijani Business Forum

BAKU. May 29. KAZINFORM The Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Business Forum with the assistance of the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) will take place in Baku on May 30 .

The Business Forum will be held within a visit of the Kazakh delegation headed by Atyrau city Governor Serik Aidarbekov, who arrived in Azerbaijan yesterday.

Atyrau region's businessmen from food industry, agriculture, healthcare, shipping industry, energy, light industry and other fields will participate in the event.

Foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan on the basis of 2012 amounted to USD 393.425 million. The share of export operations is USD 52.87 million, which decreased by 9.28%, while imports grew by 56.72% - up to USD 340.555 million. One of the challenges for enhancing trade and economic relations between the two countries is the establishment of logistics centers.

Currently, there are more than 30 companiesin Azerbaijan with the Kazakh capital.
