Baikonur Cosmodrome to be launch site for Dnipro and Zenith carrier rockets - Kazakh President

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced it at the press conference following the results of the meeting with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in Kiev on September 14; Kazinform has learnt from Ukrinform.

"And we want to participate as shareholders of these companies, jointly with Russia develop this sector of our economy", the Kazakh President said.

According to N.Nazarbayev, the major goal of his visit to Ukraine is to improve trade turnover between the countries. "USD 3.4 bln after decrease by 30 percent is not what we need", he said.

In particular, Mr.Nazarbayev noted that Kazakhstan purchases agricultural machinery in Ukraine and is interested in creation of joint enterprises on its territory - at first for gathering, and then for production of the Ukrainian agricultural machinery.

He also informed that the program of industrial development of the country by 2020 promotes construction of 270 enterprises. It is planned to invest USD 50 bln to the project.

"We invite the Ukrainian companies to take part in these issues - in construction, in metal and construction materials supply", the Kazakh President noted.
