Aziada Flame welcomed in Pavlodar

PAVLODAR. January 24. KAZINFORM /Vera Livintsova/ The Flame of the 7th Asian Winter Games arrived in Pavlodar city. Today the residents went to the streets to welcome it and to take part in the Torch Relay ceremony.
The Keepers of the Flame passed through a live corridor of heroes-batyrs symbolizing energy and bravery of our ancestors, and the representatives of various ethnic groups in national costumes.
Akim of the region Bakytzhan Sagintayev was the first to take the Torch. He congratulated the residents on the event and expressed hope that the Kazakh team would join the leaders of the Aziada. After then he gave the Torch to international master of sports in shooting Vyacheslav Podlesny.
60 torchbearers carried the Aziada Flame around Pavlodar streets.
Today the Torch of the 7th Asian Winter Games will be brought to Ust Kamenogorsk.
