Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia to hold joint military drills

BAKU. KAZINFORM - Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia will hold joint military drills, this has been reported today by Azerbaijan Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov.

Relevant agreement was reached at a meeting of defense ministers of the three countries in Nakhchivan. The minister said that the objective of the drills is to increase combat capability of the armed forces. "In the course of Nakhchivan meeting, defense ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia Zakir Hasanov, Ismet Yilmaz and Irakliy Alasania also agreed to hold round tables in this format twice a year, create trilateral format in military education and cooperation in military-technical sphere", said defense Minister of Azerbaijan. The defense ministers of the three states have also discussed military-political situation in the region, and exchange of views on issues of security and restoration of stability.
