Azerbaijan hosted 1st meeting of Customs Services of Turkic speaking countries

Deputy Chair of the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan Igor Ten led the Kazakh delegation.

Issues of cooperation of the customs services of Turkic states, development of transfer potential, combating illicit drug trafficking and application of a "single window principle" were discussed at the meeting.     

In particular, Kazakh Customs Service announced an opportunity to cooperate and develop transfer potential within the SILK WIND project.

Kazakhstan initiated this project for increasing trade economic cooperation, arise transfer-logistic potential ant attract flow of cargo to the regions' transport corridors.

Following the meeting, the declaration on cooperation between the customs services of the Turkic speaking countries was adopted.
