Azerbaijan held diplomatic reception devoted to Independence Day of Kazakhstan
Speaking at the event the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Amangeldi Zhumabaev noted that during the years of independence Kazakhstan had achieved great success in the field of economy and politics.
"Kazakhstan became an independent state, and a full member of the international community. Over the past 15 years Kazakhstan has entered the top five fastest growing countries, as well as some economic indicators have been improved", said the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"Kazakhstan has good relations with neighboring countries and successful cooperation within international organizations such as the CIS, SCO and others", said Mr.Zhumabaev.
"We attach great importance to the development of not only economic, but also cultural relations. Azerbaijan is an important transit country of Kazakhstan. In particular, recently has been signed the agreement on annual transport of four million tons of Kazakh oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline", recalled the diplomat.
In addition, Kazakhstan's ambassador did not forget to mention about the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is celebrated annually on December 1, emphasizing the fundamental role of the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev in establishing independent Kazakhstan.
From the Azerbaijani side, the Minister of Labour and Social Protection Salim Muslimov congratulated Kazakhstan on Independence Day on behalf of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The Minister noted that our two countries had developed friendly relations, the foundation of which was laid by President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan and the national leader Heidar Aliyev.
He also reminded that Kazakhstan was one of the main economic partners of Azerbaijan and in terms of trade it takes the 3rd place among the CIS countries.
The event was attended by members of the Government of Azerbaijan, heads of government agencies and departments, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan, as well as people of art and science.
