Ayan Beisenbayev wins Asia Triathlon Cup in Astana
Kazakhstani triathlete Ayan Beisenbayev claimed victory at the home stage of the 2026 Asia Triathlon Cup, edging his closest rivals by just a few seconds, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the National Olympic Committee.
Kazakhstan’s athlete completed the course in 54 minutes and 5 seconds to take first place.
Luxembourg's Theo Marti won the silver medal, finishing three seconds behind the winner. Czech triathlete Radim Grebik claimed bronze with a time of 54 minutes and 9 seconds.
Another Kazakhstani athlete, Yegor Krupyakov, also finished in the top 10, placing eighth. Daryn Konysbayev came in 11th, Temirlan Temirov finished 14th, Ramazan Aynegov - 18th, Maxim Shmulich - 21st, Arlan Zhanabay - 24th, Alexandr Ten - 25th, Yelmurt Kanay - 30th, Danil Porodnov - 33rd, Alexandr Avtushko - 34th, Alinabi Marabekov - 35th, and Ilya Krupyakov - 36th.
