ASTANA. June 20. KAZINFORM - The plenary session of the Senate has considered the proposals of the conciliation commission to overcome the differences between the two chambers concerning draft law "On introduction of amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on improvement of arbitration."
The bill, as a whole, aims to enhance the competence of arbitration court by providing it with the right to settle disputes arising from civil-law relations, not from civil contracts, as provided by applicable law. Amendments envisage restrictions on formation of arbitration courts in state bodies, public enterprises, as well as natural monopolies and the entities which hold a dominant position in the market of goods and services.
After debates, the senators agreed with the proposals of the commission. Thus, the law has been passed.
