Austria is one of Kazakhstan's most important political and economic partners in Europe - Mami

Kairat Mami praised the results of the Austrian President's visit to Astana in 2010. He noted that the top level meetings "give additional impulse to cooperation development and create favorable conditions for political and economic interaction between Kazakhstan and Austria."

He drew attention to the great opportunities provided to the Austrian business sector by the investment climate in Kazakhstan and the implementation of the Industrial and Innovation Development Program.

"We are sincerely glad that, despite the global crisis, economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Austria in recent years is characterized only by the steady growth of bilateral trade," Heinz Fischer said.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Senate thanked the President of Austria for the continued support of international initiatives of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. He told that this year Kazakhstan will continue the practice of holding the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which has received praise and recognition of the progressive world community.
