Atyrau woman preparing her adopted son to commit terrorist act sentenced to 7 years

ASTANA. June 18. KAZINFORM - Atyrau city court number 2 has convicted a woman accused of terrorist propaganda and child abuse. She has been sentenced under Article 233, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, which punishes for promoting terrorism or extremism or public incitement to commit acts of terrorism under Article 107, part 2, points "a", "b", "d" - child abuse and Article 24, part 1 - preparing to commit a crime and attempted crime. From the combination of Articles a 33-year-old woman was convicted to 7 years in prison.
As previously reported, she is the second wife of a convicted terrorist who was killed in September 2012 in one of the districts of Atyrau while the police were trying to arrest a criminal group, which had earlier arranged the day before the attack on the police department of the city of Atyrau. The children of the killed were left under the care of his second wife.
She tried to persuade her adopted son that his father had been killed by the KNB (National Security Committee of Kazakhstan) and he should put on a "suicide bomber's belt," blow himself up in the building of the committee.
